Angelo Fausto Coppi (15 September 1919 – 2 January 1960) was a dominant international cyclist before and after the Second World War. He was known as Il Campionissimo ("Champion of Champions"). Coppi was a strong climber as well as being an excellent time trialist and sprinter.
